In May we hosted our first London-wide housing mobility meeting for landlords. Twenty-seven London boroughs attended and heard good practice presentations from Stephen Ellis, the Mobility Service Delivery Manager for CLG, Claire Colquhoun of Seaside & Country Homes and London Councils, Nina Morris of the South East London Housing Partnership and Abby Ariyo of London Borough of Hackney. Our keynote speaker was Angela Raper, head of the mobility team at Communities and Local Government. If you would like copies of these presentations please contact: enquiries [at] housingmoves.org
The next meeting will take place at London Councils Conference Suite on Wednesday, August 13th at 2p.m.
- If you wish to attend please book a space by contacting Claire Colquhoun: claire.colquhoun [at] housingmoves.org

We attended the Chartered Institute of Housing’s national conference and exhibition in June and were very pleased to make contact with a number of landlords interested in offering their housing stock through housingmoves; especially the Seaside & Country Homes scheme.
Visitors to our stand went away with a collection of information about our schemes and, in some cases, a limited edition housingmoves water bottle!
Mobility Services Delivery Manager Stephen Ellis said “The CIH Conference is among the most important dates in the housing calendar. It was great to see landlords actively seeking out our stand and looking to work with us and we in turn look forward to nurturing working relationships with them in the future.”
Delegates at the conference heard speeches from the Housing Minister Rt Hon Caroline Flint MP, and other leading housing figures. More than 6,000 people attended over the three days.
We are currently working closely with Raglan Housing Association and South Cambridgeshire District Council to increase the number of properties on offer through Seaside & Country Homes.
