Somerset

Somerset is situated in the south west of England has and a 40km coastline with the Bristol Channel. There are two cities in the county: Bath and Wells and a small number of towns, although there are a number of large villages some of which are larger than their neighbouring town.

The rural landscape is home to the Mendip Hills, including Cheddar Gorge, the Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park.

In summer the coastal resorts in Somerset benefit from a warmer climate than much of the UK and tourism is a major industry.
