Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is situated just off the Hampshire coast. The island is well served by regular ferry services to and from the mainland and has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times.

It is well known for the sailing regatta at Cowes, its summer music festivals and landscape; more than half of the island has been designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty by The National Park. The southern location ensures that climate on the island is milder than the rest of Britain.
